Project Cost Out Manager

Job Summary

Driving structural cost reduction across the product lifecycle, the full-time remote Project Cost Out Manager will manage cross-functional collaboration between Sourcing and Engineering teams to identify and execute cost-out opportunities while ensuring product quality and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering and Commodity teams to integrate cost control principles into product development
• Lead workshops to generate and manage cost-reduction ideas, focusing on material substitution and design simplification
• Oversee the execution of cost-out projects, tracking progress and validating savings through P&L analysis

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• 5-8+ years of experience in product costing, value engineering, procurement, or product design
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as forgings, machining, and fabrication
• Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with strict timelines
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and resolve technical disagreements effectively
