Project Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting the successful execution of material handling and automation projects, the full-time salaried Project Engineer will manage technical clarifications, develop system layouts, and coordinate interfaces between trades and vendors in a hybrid work environment based in Charlotte, NC.

Key responsibilities

• Support project management throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring successful execution from order receipt to customer handover
• Develop overall system layouts and prepare technical specifications and tender documentation for third-party contractors and vendors
• Create and maintain technical project documentation while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and customer requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in project engineering, plant engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related industrial environment
• Proficiency with CAD software and the ability to create and interpret technical drawings and layouts
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical documents and engineering data
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying technical information effectively
