Project Lead - App Development
Job Summary
As the primary technical lead in a hybrid work environment, the Project Lead - App Development will manage the reverse engineering of Rocket terminal emulator macros and convert them into IBM PCOMM-based automation solutions while ensuring business functionality and performance integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze Rocket macro scripts and workflows, and reverse engineer business logic and process dependencies
- Automate mainframe host navigation, screen recognition, and multi-session operations using various programming languages and automation techniques
- Create design documentation and support operational runbook development to ensure reliability and performance of automation solutions
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience with IBM 3270 and IBM 5250 terminal emulation platforms
- Strong expertise in IBM Personal Communications (PCOMM) and EHLLAPI automation
- Advanced proficiency in VBA and VBScript, with preferred knowledge in PowerShell, Python, C#, and Java
- Deep understanding of host sessions, presentation spaces, and screen attributes
- Experience in implementing logging, error handling, and recovery workflows for automation solutions
