Project Manager - Open Source
Job Summary
To lead strategic open source initiatives, the remote Project Manager - Open Source will manage program execution, governance, and reporting while collaborating with engineering teams and open source communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of open source initiatives, defining program roadmaps and facilitating prioritization and execution across multiple teams
- Drive end-to-end project execution, establishing project plans, monitoring program health, and identifying execution risks
- Prepare executive-level status updates and business reviews, translating technical topics into business-relevant insights
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of project management experience, or equivalent experience in a related field
- Strong project and program management experience in complex engineering environments
- Familiarity with software development lifecycles and open source software development models
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft 365 tools
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and senior leadership
