Project Reviewer

Job Summary

To support an increasing number of project review requests, the independent contractor Project Reviewer will work remotely, focusing on assessing project documents for compliance with Verified Carbon Standard methodologies VM0032, VM0042, and VM0051, while committing a minimum of 16 hours per week.

Key responsibilities:

• Assess project documents submitted for registration and verification requests to ensure compliance with VCS Program rules
• Document assessments in project review reports and communicate findings to project proponents and validation/verification bodies
• Collaborate with Verra's Certification review team and participate in orientation meetings regarding the project review process

Required qualifications:

• Deep technical expertise in one or more of the methodologies: VM0032, VM0042, VM0051
• Experience working with the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS)
• Background in carbon project development, auditing, and/or standard setting
• Experience evaluating sustainable development and/or biodiversity and community issues
• Fluency in English for clear communication in a global work environment
