Protection Gender and Inclusion Specialist

Job Summary

To enhance global humanitarian efforts, the full-time remote Focal Point, Protection Gender and Inclusion (PGI) and Community Engagement and Accountability (CEA) will coordinate training, provide technical support, and develop strategies to improve PGI and CEA practices across the American Red Cross's international portfolio.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage PGI and CEA initiatives, including curriculum review and technical advice for National Societies
• Support the development of strategies for increasing gender equality and community engagement in disaster management programs
• Develop multi-year strategies and represent the organization at relevant networking opportunities to strengthen partnerships

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 7 years of related experience in humanitarian work or a similar field
• Demonstrated experience in integrating innovative approaches to humanitarian challenges
• Familiarity with the Red Cross/Red Crescent network and experience working with local/national partners
• Ability to travel internationally as needed for the role
