Provider Relations Advocate

Job Summary

To support a world-class academic healthcare system, the full-time Provider Relations Advocate will develop and maintain relationships with hospitals and physicians, manage operational interactions with third-party payers, and facilitate educational initiatives while working onsite in the greater Chicagoland area.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with providers and third-party payers to ensure compliance and satisfaction
• Conduct regular meetings and present educational materials regarding payer contract terms and operational processes
• Serve as the primary liaison to resolve operational and compliance issues between providers and payers

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Five years of managed care healthcare experience, including provider relations and claims management
• Experience in a multi-facility health system or large academic medical center is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of hospital and physician revenue cycle operations
• Direct experience working between providers and third-party payers to facilitate issue resolution
