Job Summary
To support the mission of promoting access and equity, the full-time Psychometrician will design and conduct psychometric analyses, prepare technical reports, and provide quantitative guidance to research staff, with the flexibility to work remotely or in the Washington, D.C. office.
Key responsibilities
- Design and conduct psychometric analyses for high-stakes testing programs, including item quality and scoring
- Establish and monitor quality control procedures related to quantitative analyses and technical reporting
- Provide guidance on proposal design and quantitative analytical approaches to professional researchers
Required qualifications
- Ph.D. in Educational Measurement, Psychometrics, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of operational experience in statistical and psychometric analyses for high-stakes testing
- Strong experience applying the Rasch model to psychometric issues
- Proficiency in programming in R or Python and using statistical software such as SPSS, Winsteps, and Facets
- Experience in conducting analysis on performance and polytomously-scored tasks
