Public Health Adjunct Instructor

Job Summary

To support the Gillings School of Global Public Health, the part-time Adjunct Instructor will teach core or concentration courses for the Master of Public Health program, facilitating weekly live online sessions and providing feedback to students while maintaining communication with lead faculty.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate weekly live online class sessions discussing and applying learning from self-paced modules
• Grade assessments and provide verbal and written feedback to students
• Maintain regular communication with lead faculty regarding student experiences and course enhancements

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in public health or a related field; PhD preferred
• Significant work and/or teaching experience directly related to the course being taught
• Experience with public health practice or research
• Strong writing skills with experience providing feedback on written assignments
• Ability to effectively manage group discussions
