Public Health Analyst II

Job Summary

Providing coordination and support for surveillance and special projects focused on healthcare-associated and antimicrobial resistant pathogens, the remote Public Health Analyst II will manage communications, facilitate meetings, and analyze public health issues to improve project implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide programmatic and scientific technical knowledge to CDC subject matter experts regarding public health surveillance and applied research activities
• Facilitate communication with internal and external partners, including organizing project meetings and summarizing discussions
• Perform day-to-day project management tasks to ensure objectives are met and recommend corrective actions as necessary

Required qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in program analysis, public health, healthcare, research, or a related field
• Previous experience working with government procedures and guidelines
• Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance
• Expertise in project management tools and software, including Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• Master's degree plus 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a public health or related field is preferred
