Purchasing Specialist

Job Summary

To support the procurement needs of a growing team, the full-time Internal Purchasing Specialist will manage the internal purchasing queue, ensuring timely sourcing and delivery of parts and supplies while building AI-assisted workflows for efficiency in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Run the internal purchasing queue from intake to delivery, ensuring quick turnaround on standard requests
• Triage urgent R&D and customer POC needs to prevent delays in engineering work
• Maintain vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure compliance with purchasing policies

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or purchasing-focused operations, preferably in hardware or manufacturing
• Hands-on experience with spend management platforms such as Ramp, Brex, or Coupa
• Working knowledge of basic accounting concepts including GL coding and capex vs. opex
• Experience in building AI automation for procurement processes
• A service-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple small requests efficiently
