Job Summary
To support a growing financial data platform, the part-time contractor Python Engineer will design and maintain FastAPI services for integrating financial and credit data while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and run FastAPI services that expose financial and credit data to internal consumers
- Own the integration layer with external providers, ensuring reliable data flow and compliance
- Build and maintain data pipelines using AWS services to land provider data in Cardiff's systems
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of Python backend engineering experience, particularly with data-intensive systems
- Experience with production backend services in modern Python frameworks, preferably FastAPI
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake for data loading, modeling, and querying
- Proficiency in AWS data services for pipeline orchestration, including Glue and Athena
- Strong understanding of API authentication and compliance requirements for financial data
