Job Summary
Supporting the USDA APHIS Plant Protection and Quarantine program, the fully remote QA Automation Engineer will perform quality assurance activities including manual and automated testing, test case development, and UAT support while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system quality and functionality.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute automated UI and API test scripts using Cypress and Playwright while maintaining reusable automation frameworks
- Write and execute comprehensive manual test cases, performing validation across various workflows and supporting UAT activities
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation strategies
Required qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Cypress, Playwright, or similar UI automation frameworks
- Strong understanding of CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps
- Experience testing .NET back end services and React front end applications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and meet federal suitability requirements
