QA Manager

Job Summary

Owning end-to-end quality across hardware, firmware, PlayOS, and game experiences for Nex Playground, the full-time remote QA Manager will manage validation processes, develop test strategies, and ensure seamless compatibility and performance in real-world conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Own validation for hardware compatibility and develop risk-based test plans across various development stages
• Establish quality gates and entry/exit criteria for firmware and PlayOS releases, ensuring thorough testing and risk assessment
• Produce actionable bug reports and drive defect triage with engineering and product partners during release cycles

Required qualifications

• Strong hands-on QA experience in system-level testing, firmware or OS validation, or hardware-software integration
• Demonstrated ability to design risk-based test strategies and execute exploratory testing
• Experience validating firmware or OTA update flows, including failure handling and recovery
• Ability to create maintainable automated tests or tools in at least one programming or scripting language
• Experience coordinating external QA partners or vendors to meet quality standards
