Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Summary
To support the modernization of mission-critical technology systems, a full-time remote Quality Assurance Engineer will design, build, and maintain high-volume business logic on the mainframe while optimizing performance and debugging complex system interactions.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor architecture and identify opportunities to optimize code for enhanced mainframe performance
- Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions to ensure mission-critical applications run smoothly
- Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services
Required qualifications
- Experience as a software engineer on complex software projects
- Proficiency in coding with Java, Python, .Net, or similar languages, along with strong debugging skills
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and experience developing scalable software
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, XML/JSON, and REST-based web services
- Understanding of microservices architecture, containers (Docker & Kubernetes), and messaging queues
