Job Summary
Hands-on and analytical, the contract Quality Assurance Engineer will develop and execute test scenarios, perform manual functional testing, and validate data through SQL queries while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test scenarios and test cases for application and API functionality
- Perform manual functional, component, and integration testing within QA environments
- Test APIs to identify defects, functional gaps, and unexpected behavior while documenting findings
Required qualifications
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to independently query and validate data
- Hands-on experience with manual software testing and strong QA fundamentals
- Experience designing comprehensive test cases and testing REST APIs or other API-based integrations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues beyond predefined requirements
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or similar tools is helpful
