Job Summary
Ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines, the full-time remote Quality Control Specialist will review electronic medical records, conduct quality control assessments, and mentor new employees while maintaining high standards of accuracy and productivity.
Key responsibilities:
- Review electronic records for HIPAA compliance and authorization limits
- Determine the legal right to release medical records based on HIPAA regulations
- Communicate issues and questions to the Lead/Supervisor and mentor new team members
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a medical record setting
- Must pass an industry-related course and exam within six months of hire
- High attention to detail and strong time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment
- Proficiency in using MS Outlook and other Windows-based programs
