Quality Improvement Specialist
Job Summary
Leading complex quality improvement initiatives, the full-time Quality Improvement Specialist will manage assigned HEDIS measures and support health plans while working remotely from anywhere in the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Train providers and staff in continuous quality improvement methodologies and HEDIS processes
- Monitor performance on quality indicators and analyze results to support improvement plans
- Serve as the primary owner for assigned HEDIS measures, conducting audits and providing clinical support
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare, or Quality, or equivalent healthcare experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality, with strong knowledge of HEDIS and performance measures preferred
- Experience in quality performance improvement plans (PIPs) and the PDSA model
- Advanced proficiency in clinical medical record abstraction and measure interpretation
- Ability to provide training and mentorship to team members on quality improvement best practices
