Quantum Computing Engineer
Job Summary
To support federal government clients, the full-time Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will utilize programming languages like Python, C++, and Java to implement cryptographic algorithms, advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration, and assess organizational cryptographic inventories, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and test cryptographic algorithms using various programming languages
- Advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration plans and post-quantum cryptography implementation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate quantum risk and provide policy guidance aligned with NIST PQC standards
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography
- Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum information theory
- Experience with quantum programming languages and frameworks such as Qiskit and Cirq
- Knowledge of existing cryptographic standards and frameworks, including NIST and ISO/IEC
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science or Cybersecurity
