Job Summary
To support a federal government client, the full-time Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will utilize programming languages like Python, C++, and Java to implement and test cryptographic algorithms, advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration plans, and assess organizational cryptographic inventories while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Implement and test cryptographic algorithms using various programming languages
- Advise on post-quantum cryptography implementation strategies and migration plans
- Collaborate with teams to communicate quantum risk and provide policy guidance aligned with NIST standards
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography
- Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum programming languages
- Knowledge of post-quantum cryptography and existing cryptographic standards
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust security clearance
