Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will utilize programming languages to implement and test cryptographic algorithms, advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration, and assess organizational cryptographic inventories while ensuring alignment with NIST PQC standards.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and test cryptographic algorithms using Python, C++, and Java
- Advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration plans and post-quantum cryptography implementation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate quantum risk to non-technical leadership
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography
- Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages and frameworks such as Qiskit and Microsoft Quantum Development Kit
- Knowledge of existing cryptographic standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 19790)
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Systems
