Quantum Computing Engineer
Job Summary
To support a federal government client, the full-time Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will utilize programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java to implement and test cryptographic algorithms, advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate quantum risks in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and test cryptographic algorithms using various programming languages
- Advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration plans and post-quantum cryptography strategies
- Assess organizational cryptographic inventory and prioritize migration efforts
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography
- Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages and frameworks such as Qiskit and Cirq
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- U.S. Citizenship required for this position
