Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will implement and test cryptographic algorithms, advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration plans, and assess organizational cryptographic inventories for a federal government client.

Key responsibilities
  • Utilize programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java for cryptographic algorithm implementation and testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate quantum risk to non-technical leadership and provide policy guidance for cryptographic modernization
  • Assess and prioritize migration plans for post-quantum cryptography implementations
Required qualifications
  • 10+ years of IT experience, including 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography, with a Master's degree potentially substituting for 2 years of experience
  • Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum programming languages/frameworks such as Qiskit and Cirq
  • Knowledge of post-quantum cryptography and existing cryptographic standards (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 19790)
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science or Cybersecurity
  • U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust security clearance are required
