Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will implement and test cryptographic algorithms using programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java, while advising on quantum-resistant algorithm migration plans and collaborating with cross-functional teams to communicate quantum risks to non-technical leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize programming languages to implement and test cryptographic algorithms
- Advise on quantum-resistant algorithm migration plans and post-quantum cryptography implementation strategies
- Assess organizational cryptographic inventory and identify migration priorities
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography
- Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages and frameworks, such as Qiskit and Microsoft Quantum Development Kit
- Knowledge of existing cryptographic standards and frameworks, including NIST
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Cybersecurity or Computer Science
