Quantum Computing Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will implement and test cryptographic algorithms, advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration, and collaborate with teams to communicate quantum risks to leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java for cryptographic algorithm implementation and testing
- Develop and advise on post-quantum cryptography implementation strategies and migration plans
- Assess organizational cryptographic inventory and prioritize migration efforts
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography
- Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages and frameworks, such as Qiskit and Cirq
- Experience with existing cryptographic standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 19790)
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Cybersecurity or Computer Science
