Job Summary
To support a federal government client, the full-time remote Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will implement and test cryptographic algorithms, advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate quantum risk to leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java for cryptographic algorithm implementation and testing
- Work on quantum resistant algorithm migration plans and post-quantum cryptography implementation strategies
- Assess cryptographic inventory and provide policy guidance aligned with NIST PQC standards
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography
- Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages and frameworks such as Qiskit and Microsoft Quantum Development Kit
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Cybersecurity or Computer Science
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
