Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will implement and test cryptographic algorithms, advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration, and assess organizational cryptographic inventory for a federal government client.

Key responsibilities
  • Utilize programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java for cryptographic algorithm implementation and testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate quantum risk and provide policy guidance aligned with NIST PQC standards
  • Assess and prioritize organizational cryptographic inventory for migration to post-quantum cryptography solutions
Required qualifications
  • 10+ years of IT experience, including 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography at a large corporation or government agency
  • Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum programming languages such as Qiskit and Cirq
  • Knowledge of post-quantum cryptography and existing cryptographic standards (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 19790)
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Systems
  • U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust security clearance
