Job Summary
To support a federal government client, the full-time Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will utilize programming languages to implement cryptographic algorithms, advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration, and communicate quantum risks to non-technical leadership in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and test cryptographic algorithms using Python, C++, and Java
- Advise on migration plans for quantum resistant algorithms and post-quantum cryptography implementation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess cryptographic inventory and provide guidance aligned with NIST PQC standards
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography
- Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum programming languages
- Knowledge of post-quantum cryptography and existing cryptographic standards
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
