Quantum Computing Engineer
Job Summary
To support a federal government client, the full-time Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will implement and test cryptographic algorithms using programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java while advising on quantum-resistant algorithm migration and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize programming languages to implement and test cryptographic algorithms
- Advise on quantum-resistant algorithm migration plans and post-quantum cryptography implementation strategies
- Assess cryptographic inventory and communicate quantum risk to non-technical leadership
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography
- Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum programming languages
- Knowledge of post-quantum cryptography and existing cryptographic standards
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- U.S. Citizenship required for this position
