Radiology Service Coordinator
Job Summary
To support efficient radiology operations, the part-time Radiology Service Coordinator will serve as a key liaison among radiologists, hospital clinical teams, and referring physicians, managing physician calls and preparing exams for interpretation while working remotely on weekends from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
Key responsibilities
- Manage physician calls, verify identities, and relay results to connect clinical teams with radiologists
- Prepare exams for interpretation by attaching prior exams and supporting documentation while monitoring worklists
- Provide technical and operational support across PACS, RIS, and other radiology information systems
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree in Healthcare, Administration, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of healthcare operations experience
- Strong understanding of healthcare and radiology information systems, including PACS and RIS
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams
