R&D Business Operations Manager

Job Summary

Managing purchase order processes, the full-time R&D Business Operations Manager will create, generate, and oversee purchase orders in Ariba/SAP, ensuring compliance with contract terms and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring alignment with contract terms and compliance with company policies
• Partner with R&D, Finance, and Strategic Sourcing to resolve discrepancies and facilitate timely PO issuance
• Generate reports and dashboards to track purchase order metrics and support month-end and year-end financial activities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech business operations or procurement
• Demonstrated experience with enterprise systems, specifically SAP or Ariba
• Strong understanding of procure-to-pay (P2P) processes and financial controls
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for financial tracking and reporting
