R&D Leader
Job Summary
To drive the vision and execution of the R&D organization, the full-time R&D Leader will manage a team of over 250 engineers and delivery managers, oversee a ~$30M budget, and transform innovative ideas into market-ready products while ensuring high-quality software delivery in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Set and execute a long-term technology roadmap aligned with business goals, balancing product enhancements and breakthrough innovations
- Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing teams, ensuring effective resource allocation and on-time delivery of R&D programs
- Guide projects through all lifecycle phases, deploying standardized processes and methodologies for effective project management
Required qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant technical, scientific, or engineering discipline
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience managing R&D or product innovation teams
- Proven ability to turn complex research into scalable commercial solutions
- Strong business and technical acumen with a strategic mindset
- Domain knowledge in Electricity Transmission, Distribution, Industrial, and Automation markets
