Real Estate Product Counsel
Job Summary
To support the legal needs of real estate products, the full-time Senior Product Counsel will provide comprehensive legal counsel on brokerage operations and product development while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary legal point of contact for Zillow's brokerage operations and licensed real estate activities
- Provide full lifecycle product counsel for consumer and B2B products, addressing regulatory compliance and commercial agreements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve emerging legal issues and support strategic initiatives
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in real estate regulatory and product counseling, preferably in-house at a real estate brokerage or prop tech company
- JD with active state bar admission in at least one jurisdiction
- Strong understanding of real estate regulatory frameworks and MLS policies
- Experience with data licensing, marketing, and commercial agreements
- Proven ability to manage competing projects with strong organizational skills
