Job Summary
To support real estate operations within a major utility organization, the contract-to-hire Real Estate Research Assistant will conduct title and property ownership research, analyze easements and rights-of-way, and collaborate with various teams, primarily working remotely with occasional onsite meetings.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct title and property ownership research using internal systems and external databases
- Research existing easements, rights-of-way, and other land rights associated with utility infrastructure
- Review engineering drawings, site plans, and legal descriptions to support real estate research initiatives
Required qualifications
- 1+ year of related professional experience in title research, real estate, or a related field
- Experience researching property ownership, titles, deeds, and easements
- Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies, Real Estate, or a related field, or a high school diploma/GED with 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Ability to review and interpret property-related documentation such as legal descriptions and surveys
