Job Summary
Evaluating loan opportunities and structuring transactions, the full-time remote Real Estate Underwriter will underwrite residential investment loans while collaborating with Loan Advisors and operations to ensure compliance with credit standards.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite residential investment loans, including fix-and-flip and ground-up construction financing
- Evaluate borrower creditworthiness and analyze property valuations to determine loan structures
- Collaborate with teams to efficiently move qualified loans from application to closing
Required qualifications
- Experience in real estate lending, credit analysis, or loan underwriting
- Familiarity with business-purpose residential investment loans is a strong plus
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating borrower financials and property valuations
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred
- Proficiency with Excel and loan origination systems
