Reconciliation Specialist
Job Summary
Supporting the billing teams remotely, the full-time Reconciliation Specialist will manage payment reconciliations, post payments in various billing systems, and ensure accurate accounts receivable monitoring for therapy sessions.
Key responsibilities
- Reconcile payments posted electronically and manually across multiple billing platforms
- Review and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs) for accurate payment processing
- Communicate trends and issues identified during posting to the Customer Billing Advocate and Accounts Receivable team for resolution
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of payment posting experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Experience using insurance company websites and portals
- Knowledge of ABA practices and billing for commercial insurance and Medicaid
- Willingness to learn and a positive attitude towards challenges
