Recovery Access Specialist

Job Summary

Serving as the first touchpoint for members in the intake process, the full-time Recovery Access Specialist will manage incoming calls, provide information about the organization's services, and facilitate client assessments and appointments while working Monday through Friday from 12pm to 8pm.

Key responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls in a welcoming manner and provide educated responses to clinical inquiries
• Initiate client Biopsychosocial Assessments using motivational interviewing techniques to determine eligibility for services
• Schedule initial intake appointments and coordinate client no-shows with clinic coordinators to ensure a seamless intake process

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
• Minimum 1-year experience in human services/healthcare or customer service role, preferably in retail, medical, or hospitality
• Access to reliable internet and telephone services with specified download/upload speeds
• Must meet pre-employment requirements including background screening and possibly health screenings
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to work independently under general supervision
