Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare practice, the part-time Referral Coordinator will manage patient referrals, coordinate with insurance companies for verification and authorization, and ensure timely communication between patients and healthcare providers while working both onsite and remotely in Farmington, CT.

Key responsibilities:

• Track, coordinate, and communicate patient referrals within the work queue
• Collaborate with practices to ensure accurate patient registration and referral processing
• Contact insurance companies to verify benefits and obtain prior authorization approvals

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1+ years of experience in a hospital, physician's office, or medical clinic setting
• 6+ months of experience with healthcare insurance procedures
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications
• Intermediate knowledge of medical coding and terminology
