Job Summary

Working remotely, the part-time Referral Quality Coordinator will validate and review referral information, ensuring accuracy and completeness to facilitate the authorization process for patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Review incoming referrals for accuracy, verifying patient demographics, insurance coverage, and supporting documentation
• Confirm referrals meet authorization requirements and resolve discrepancies while collaborating with providers and internal teams
• Maintain high accuracy levels and contribute to process improvements in referral management workflows

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience in healthcare intake, patient access, or related healthcare operations roles
• Experience with commercial and government payers, including Medicare and Medicaid
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation
• Familiarity with EMR, practice management, or healthcare workflow systems
