Registered Health Information Technician
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Registered Health Information Technician will ensure the integrity of the Legal Health Record and Master Patient Index by analyzing complex error correction scenarios, including duplicate record resolution and patient documentation errors.
Key responsibilities:
- Accurately complete daily work queues and time-sensitive error corrections
- Demonstrate proficiency in advanced functions of patient identification systems
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders to report and resolve errors
Required qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information and apply critical thinking
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) credential or currently enrolled in a CAHIIM accredited program
- Experience with Epic Electronic Health Record system
- Participation in professional Health Information and Information Technology groups
