Registered Nurse Clinical Clearance Specialist
Job Summary
Working remotely as a 1099 contractor, the Registered Nurse Clinical Clearance Specialist will manage escalated clinical clearance requests for admissions involving eating disorders and substance use disorders, applying nursing judgment to determine admission appropriateness and issuing timely clearance outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and independently review escalated clinical clearance requests from the admissions team
- Interpret lab results, EKGs, and vital signs to assess admission appropriateness for complex cases
- Serve as a clinical liaison between the admissions team and medical leadership, preparing organized case summaries for escalations
Required qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 2-3 years of nursing experience, preferably in behavioral health or related settings
- Working knowledge of eating disorder medical stability criteria and lab interpretation
- Ability to review EKGs and understand SUD presentations and level-of-care frameworks
- Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM/admissions platforms
