Job Summary

To support client care authorization processes, the part-time Temp Clinical Letter Writer will gather and review medical records, draft letters of medical necessity, and communicate with team members regarding client authorizations and recertifications in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Research diagnoses and treatment strategies to inform correspondence regarding client authorizations and changes in care levels
• Write draft letters of medical necessity for client care authorization and recertification
• Review authorization and recertification paperwork and communicate with team members for clarification as needed

Required qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current State licensure preferred
• Minimum of two years of healthcare experience preferred
• Strong research, writing, and editing skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
