Registered Nurse Donor Coordinator
Job Summary
Coordinating all activities related to organ offers and procurement, the full-time Donor Procurement Coordinator will work remotely, managing the receipt and evaluation of organ offers, organizing procurement teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for potential organ offers from various procurement organizations
- Coordinate transportation of organs and organize teams for timely donor site dispatch
- Comply with OPTN/UNOS documentation requirements and assist in training for organ preservation caregivers
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a science-related field or a degree/diploma from an accredited Nursing School, Respiratory Therapy Program, or Paramedic Program
- One year of experience as an organ procurement coordinator or in critical care/organ procurement
- Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, or Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic
