Registered Nurse Health Advocate

Job Summary

Delivering high-quality, member-centered clinical advocacy, the full-time Registered Nurse Health Advocate will provide education, care coordination, and support for members navigating healthcare issues in a fully remote environment during evening shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and assess inbound member calls related to various healthcare issues, determining appropriate actions based on established policies
• Educate members on medical conditions and treatment options while building trusted relationships to empower their healthcare decisions
• Coordinate care by facilitating communication between members, healthcare providers, and insurance carriers, while maintaining accurate documentation

Required qualifications

• BSN or RN degree from an accredited college or university
• Active and unrestricted State or Multi-State Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 3-5 years of clinical and/or medical management experience, with a preference for behavioral and mental health experience
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, and ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
