Registered Nurse Surgical Auditor

Job Summary

To ensure regulatory compliance and accurate revenue cycle management, the full-time Remote Registered Nurse Surgical Auditor will review clinical documentation, audit charging accuracy, and collaborate with various departments within Perioperative Services.

Key responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation for accurate charging of procedures, supplies, and implants
• Identify opportunities to reduce expenses by analyzing monthly spend and auditing supply usage
• Collaborate with service line managers and clinical staff to ensure timely correction of documentation and maintain accurate pricing in the EMR

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree or one to three years of formal training in a related surgical services field
• 1-2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist or RN with surgical nursing experience
• Familiarity with OR information systems and supply chain management
• Current RN state licensure or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
