Registered Nurse Triage Specialist

Job Summary

Providing telephonic clinical triage and support, the full-time Registered Nurse Triage Specialist will engage with members during night shifts to ensure they receive appropriate care and resources while promoting better health outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with members via telephone and patient portal to provide clinical advice and direct them to the appropriate level of care
• Connect members with necessary care services, including primary care, urgent care, and emergency services
• Monitor clinical chat queues and respond to patient inquiries, ensuring timely and effective communication

Required qualifications

• An active, unencumbered Compact RN license or willingness to obtain additional state licenses
• A minimum of 5 years of direct patient care experience
• Prior clinical triage experience in settings such as Emergency Departments or Telephonic Triage
• Experience with telehealth services
• Ability to quickly master electronic medical records (EMR) and virtual communication tools
