Registered Patent Attorney
Job Summary
To support a growing legal department, the full-time Registered Patent Attorney will manage patent office proceedings, draft and litigate patent office documents, and provide legal support services while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Managing patent office proceedings internally and drafting, filing, and litigating patent office documents
- Handling communications with decision makers and supporting senior attorneys with ongoing matters
- Editing work product of colleagues and providing various legal support services
Required qualifications
- 5 years of relevant experience with PTAB, including drafting petitions and litigating cases
- Successful passage of the State Bar and Patent Registration Examination
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Experience with algorithmic, codec, and code-based subject matter is preferred
- Technical undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is advantageous
