Regulatory Counsel, High-Risk

Job Summary

To support a growing fintech practice, the full-time remote Regulatory Counsel, High-Risk will serve as the primary legal and regulatory advisor to Product and Sales teams, focusing on compliance for new payment products in the gaming and gambling sectors while ensuring alignment with applicable laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide fast, practical regulatory guidance on product designs and new features
• Lead legal analysis for new business models and perform market and regulatory research
• Develop and own regulatory strategy for the gaming and gambling vertical, including compliance requirements across jurisdictions

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor (or equivalent) with active bar admission in at least one U.S. state
• 5+ years of legal experience with a focus on regulatory matters in payments, fintech, or gaming
• Experience advising product or sales teams on new product launches or market entry
• Working knowledge of U.S. payments and financial services regulations
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex regulatory frameworks and apply them to business models
