Reimbursement Coordinator - Hospice

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate Reimbursement Coordinator for a Hospice team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting Reimbursement Coordinators with mailing and re-mailing claims for submissions to third party payers
• Coordinating a high volume of claims activity across multiple systems and agencies
• Following up on patient balances within established timeframes and escalating claims not paid within 60 days or for denied appeals

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in developing knowledge for billing systems and clearinghouses for electronic billing
• Ability to submit claims to insurance companies in a timely fashion and within the individual insurance company's timely filing period
• Knowledge of preparing write-off requests when bad debt is identified and documenting the reason for the write-off
• Experience in researching claim payments, partial payments, and overpayments
• Understanding of coordinating sequential billing with other hospices via phone and establishing and maintaining business relationships via telephone and email contact
