Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary

Ensuring accurate and compliant reimbursement processes, the full-time Reimbursement Specialist will review claims, resolve billing discrepancies, and maintain HIPAA compliance while coordinating with insurance and regulatory guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating the reimbursement program to ensure compliance with billing and collection regulations
• Review claims for authorization and medical necessity to ensure accurate billing and minimize accounts receivable
• Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies and follow up on claims in a timely manner

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience in medical billing required
• Background in the healthcare industry is essential
• Experience with Brightree and/or DME is preferred
• Knowledge of insurance requirements and medical justification processes
